Vande Bharat Express train (22447)- New Delhi (NDLS) to UNA is one of the fastest trains in India. Vande Bharat train is also known as Train 18. It runs at the speed of 78 Km/hr and has the ability to run at the speed of 130 km/hr. Vande Bharat express is the semi-high-speed train run by Indian railways in India and comes in the category of Gatiman express.
It was designed and manufactured by ICF Perambur, Chennai under Govt of India's Public-private partnership.
There are three Vande Bharat express trains running in India before this. One is from New Delhi to SMVD Katra and the second is from New Delhi to Varanasi and third is Gandhinagar to Mumbai It has 16 coaches in total. Out of 16 coaches, 14 are of Chairs car and 2 are Executive Chairs Car. The Executive chair car has a 2X2 seating arrangement while the Chair car has a 2X3 seating arrangement.
The interior of Vande Bharat Express is very modern and beautiful and has all the required features and facilities. It is a complete AC train that is controlled by the operator. It has automated doors, an emergency communication unit, automatic smoke detection alarms, Bio toilets, Reclining seats, Digital content Sensor-based compartment doors, a footrest, a bottle holder, a magazine case, and charging points.
It departs from New Delhi at 5.50 AM from platform No.11 and reaches Chandigarh at 8.40 am and Una at 11.05 am Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra at 2 PM. It takes 5.15 hrs to complete 412 KM. .
You get morning tea/coffee with biscuits, a Heavy breakfast on this train. Food is optional but it has good quality.
