After visiting Colombo for a few days I decided to make my way to Negombo. This is a beach town about north from Colombo. I made my way to the railway station and took a 2h train to arrive in Negombo. Upon my arrival it was lunch time so I decided to find a good spot to eat something quick. I was approached by a man that told me he had a restaurant. I think he meant he knew a good restaurant. I had some roti while he had some tea. Afterwards it was time to find a tuktuk to Dephani hotel. When I arrived at the hotel I was impressed by the views. The hotel was literally 20 meters away from the beach. After doing a quick hotel tour I decided to go for a dip in the sea. As there was quite some wind the sea was a bit rough with lots of waves. I didn't dip for long as the sun was setting quickly.
