The Moxy NYC Downtown was perfect for what we were looking for - a relatively inexpensive (for New York City) hotel room as a home base for exploring around the city.
This was our first stay at a Moxy brand and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at another one in the right situation. As a brand, Moxy reminded us of an upscale hostel - very small private rooms and bathrooms but with a lot of communal lobby space. There was no traditional closet area in the room, but were lots of nifty uses of space but not sure there would be enough storage if you were staying a week and wanted to “unpack”. There was also no desk in the room, but lots of comunal space in the lobby to work if needed.
