Chinatown is a very busy , crowded, hectic place inspite of the offputting crowds, gutters, noise and stench of the markets. There are some food gems that may keep you coming back for more.
Its heavily touristy and people flock to Chinatown to experience the food every night which makes it extremely crowded.
You may find Nick nacks and snacks for 100baht. Rest all is priced starting 150 onwards and above..
The closest station is MRT wat mangkon. The exit leaves you right at the alley of yaowarat Road where the street food fair is rampant.
You can also get off at Ratchawong pier which is a 5-10 min walk away from main street food fair in Chinatown.
