When we were traveling back from Bandarawella today after getting my car battery replacement I felt lucky when we approached and there was a line of cars waiting for this train to pass.
I jumped out of the car and managed to get my video on just in time.
It was great seeing the train whizz by.
The other people in the cars must have thought that I was crazy.
You can see that the train is quite full as there are lots of tourists here in February 2023.
Train prices have been increased here due to rising fuel costs which is a challenge for local Sri Lankans as their wages have not risen.
We hope that there will be a drive towards public transport and more people will use the railways and trains.
GlenMyu Estate is in a great location to visit the places where the trains travel between Colombo and Badulla. Haputale train station is the nearest to us and is a stop on the Ella Odyssey.
