In this video vi continue on the restauration of our 100-year-old barn by preparing the top of the old stone walls for concrete. Before we can build anything on the old walls, we need a level base to build on. During our last video we made the framework and made sure that they where level. Now it is time to start laying rebar and securing it to the stones below so that the foundation is strong enough to handle the weight of the new building. When it was ready we started to mix concrete. Let’s just say that this was an exhausting job as all the concrete had to be caried up a later and poured by hand in the forms.
We also fixed up the smallest chicken coop by laying new bedding in their outside pen and fixed up their purge and we fixed all the pot holes in our road so that the truck that delivered all our concrete did not get stuck.
