Over the last few weeks, Amazon has started making changes to the product search results page. This is one of the most important pages on Amazon as it allows customers to view and compare competing products.
They are changing the design of the search results page to try and improve how helpful product reviews are to customers.
Amazon is still in the process of split-testing different review layouts, however, it is looking increasingly likely that the overall product review score will now be displayed as an exact numerical value.
Products with a review score of 4.3 to 4.7 have previously been rounded up/down and displayed four and a half visual stars, under the new changes the exact score will now be visible which will make it easier for customers to identify the superior products.
Amazon FBA beginners soon learn that product reviews are the strongest social proof available when selling on Amazon. If you are starting an Amazon business, it is more important than ever to ensure you develop a high quality private label product that will generate as many 5 star reviews as possible.
Amazon is also adding sales figures to the search results page so that customers can see how many other customers have purchased that product in the past month. This additional social proof will help customers with their buying decisions.
