Hello Guys, Recently, we toured Landsdown in Kotdwar in Uttarakhand State. It's a beautiful panoramic and picturesque tourist destination. We plan to travel to the nearest railway station Kotdwar by Train and then took bolero to reach Lansdown Resort. Delhi to Kotdwar Siddhabali Jan Shatabdi Express (12038) is the only train from Delhi to reach Kotdwar and Lansdowne.
It runs at the speed of 37 Km/hr on average and has the ability to run at the speed of 100 km/hr. The Siddhabali Jan Shatabdi Express (12038) is a Janshtabdi train run by Indian Railways in India.
It has 12 coaches in total. Out of 12 coaches, 8 are AC Chairs cars and 2 are Non AC Chair Cars. The other two coaches are for Guards.
We took tickets for the AC Chairs car as the journey was a little long and it was humid and hot weather in the month of August.
If we talk about facilities it has Bio toilets, Magzine Net, a back plate for food or a Laptop, Charging points, Footrest, a Bottle Holder, Curtains, etc. The Non AC Chair car has a fan instead of AC and has a 3X3 Seating arrangement.
It departs from Delhi (DLI) railway station at 7.00 AM from platform No.7 and reaches Kotdwar (KTD) at about 1.40 PM. It takes 6.40 hrs to complete a 238 KM Journey. It travels via Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gajraula, Bijnor and other stations. It passes three Major states Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Like Shatabadi, you will not get morning breakfast, Tea, or Food on this train. you will have to carry your own food or be dependent on the stalls at various stops while traveling
